An overview of the UVI Subbase Weather Station
This weather station is part of the UVI
public network of weather stations in the US Virgin Islands. It is maintained by the
GeoCAS Institute of the
University of the Virgin Islands.
The station uses a Vantage Pro2 Plus weather monitoring system, controlled by a Raspberry Pi 3B microprocessor running a Meteohub Linux Kernel. The experimental weather station system is powered by a solar photovoltaic array (PF), an MPPT solar charge controller, and a 460Ah battery bank (of approximate capacity of 5.0Kwh).
